Fast friendly service with a smile Freshly cooked food and still hot unlike other places I've visited
A brilliant independent local cafe serving a selection of hot and cold food and variety of hot and cold drinks. The place is decorated nicely, the service friendly and most importantly the food I ate was delicious, hot and fresh. I had a full breakfast, it was worth the £9.70 and the bacon was nice and thick, 2 sausage along with hash browns with a choice of granary or white bread. It's on a row of shops that are all cafes but I highly recommend you try this as I know it's good plus it's a 2 Mon walk to the orme and pier.
Highly recommend The Loaf, if you can get in, as it tends to be very busy due to its very good food and excellent service. When you walk in, you're made to feel very welcome. The staff are very nice and attentive but never pushy. It has a very nice, relaxed and intimate atmosphere with a little background music, which is never intrusive. The food is excellent and plenty of it too, from cooked breakfasts to their delicious, thick and creamy porridge, served with syrup and strawberries, a great way to start the day and all at very decent prices. Again, highly recommended.........And their homemade scones with jam & cream are quite superb.
We were driving to Anglesey and stopped by Llandudno for lunch and to catch the promenade. The Loaf was on the way and had great reviews. We had pretty good choice to start (flat whites and an Americano) then shared a beef pie, a Welsh Rarebit (with bacon and garlic mushrooms) and a quiche. As well as a scone. The food was excellent! The beef pie, in particular, was memorable for the tender beef and beautiful crust. The Rarebit was also very good, esp. with the bacon (tasty and not salty) and the mushrooms. We'll definitely come back of we're in the area again.
Great brunch/lunch place with lots of homemade fares in the heart of Llandudno. We especially loved the Welsh Rarebit served piled high on a thick toast. Yummy! The homemade quiche was good too - just a tab small in portion. The steak pie came piping hot with lots of beef chunks and a nice crust. And the homemade Bara Brith for dessert. It felt like Christmas came early
What a gem this cafe is....if we lived here, it would be our regular go to spot! Just charming from the warm and friendly welcome, adorable decor and the delicious food served. We had the ham/cheese quiche, sausage & Welsh rarebit, the Belgian waffle & ice cream and the Bara Brith for dessert. All was PERFECT! Well done The Loaf... thank you for such an amazing visit! Only downfall.... they ran out of scones! Just means we have to come back!
Stopped in for a light bite and a drink on a scorching hot day whilst visiting Llandudno. We stumbled across The Loaf and bagged a table outside but in the shade. We decided on something sweet; a scone with cream and jam, and a slice of Victoria sponge cake. We also got tap waters and cold cans of fizz to keep us hydrated. The service was brilliant and the waitress was super polite. The Victoria sponge was possibly the best we’ve EVER had. So light and fluffy and delicious. The scone was warm, fresh and delightful. A perfect spot to rest and recharge, and next time we are in Llandudno, we will come again!
We stayed in Llandudno for three days and came to this brunch place every single day for lunch! The food here is absolutely delicious, the atmosphere and decorations are cozy and adorable, and most importantly, the hosts are incredibly friendly and kind. We hope to visit Llandudno again in summer—of course, including this lovely place! Highly recommend!
